LIFEGUARD (CSC EMPLOYEE) CERTIFICATION
Learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with American Red Cross lifeguard training. You will learn how effective preparation and quick response times are vital to being a lifeguard while also understanding the crucial elements in helping to prevent drownings and injuries.
This will be a blended learning course where you will have time in April to complete the online materials. 9 units/lessons will be offered in 7 days.
THE Original DATES have been ADJUSTED DUE TO A HEATER BEING INSTALLED ON THE POOL. CLASS DATES are mostly accurate. Please continue to work on your American Red Cross Online class and finish before May 1.

We are still TBA on the official class start date. Begin the online portion of your class for American Red Cross. The Goal is to add May 5th, and May 11 for make up dates. Because there is more time, we hope to add 9 hours between those two dates. Let me know if you need a modification and what alternate dates you may have available
TEST DAY tentative date will be SAT. May 11th.
A 2 year certification in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED is issued upon successful completion of our training and coursework. A digital certification is available upon completion.
Age: Students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class. (If you turn 15 in May, please let us know).
Qualifications: Students must pass a pre-course swimming skills test on the first day of water classes. This includes a 300-yard swim using front crawl or breaststroke, a 2-minute tread using legs only and the ability to retrieve a 10-lb dive weight from 7 ft deep, surface and swim 20 yds with the weight, using legs only and exit the pool without using a ladder within 100 seconds.
