Learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with American Red Cross lifeguard training. You will learn how effective preparation and quick response times are vital to being a lifeguard while also understanding the crucial elements in helping to prevent drownings and injuries.
This will be a blended learning course where you will have time in March to complete the online materials. 9 units/lessons will be offered (and repeated for those who cannot make specific dates.) Please make sure you attend all 9 units to pass the class. If you have an issue with a particular lesson, we can try to schedule a make up with other students. Lifeguard Certification tests will be on Saturday, April 29th. Plan to attend one date per unit/lesson unless you want a refresher:
A 2 year certification in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED is issued upon successful completion of our training and coursework. A digital certification is available upon completion.
Age: Students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class.
